Hello, I'm Sandra.
I'm a visual artist who believes imagination doesn't belong only to childhood, and that creativity should never have to fit inside a box.
I live and create in Saguenay, Québec, where my work moves freely between painting, drawing, ceramics, abstraction, and figuration.
For more than twenty years, I designed toys and imagined worlds for children. That experience shaped the way I see things. It taught me that a simple shape can become a character, a colour can tell a story, and almost anything can come to life when we allow ourselves to imagine.
Today, I carry that same sense of wonder into my art, with a different kind of freedom.
After years of designing for others, I felt the need to create without expectations, instructions, or a predetermined outcome.
I wanted to follow my curiosity, trust my intuition, and rediscover the simple pleasure of making something just because I felt like making it.
What began as a personal exploration became an artistic practice rooted in imagination, memory, experimentation, and play.
My work doesn't follow one particular style. Sometimes it's spontaneous and abstract. Sometimes familiar objects, playful characters, or unexpected stories find their way onto the canvas.
I like to explore, change direction, and see what happens.
