Artist Statement

My artistic practice explores the ways imagination, memory, and play shape how we experience the world.

Working intuitively through painting, drawing, ceramics, and mixed media, I allow images and forms to emerge, evolve, and sometimes take unexpected directions. My work moves between abstraction and figuration, where gestures, colours, familiar objects, and invented characters become starting points for new possibilities.

My background in toy design continues to influence the way I approach creation. For more than twenty years, I imagined worlds for children, exploring how ordinary objects could become extraordinary through play. Today, that curiosity remains, but my creative process is guided by a greater sense of freedom and personal exploration.

I resist the idea that an artist must develop a single recognizable style. Experimentation is essential to my practice. I allow myself to change materials, approaches, and visual languages as my curiosity evolves.

What connects my work is not a particular aesthetic, but a way of creating that embraces intuition, spontaneity, and discovery.

I am interested in the space between what is familiar and what is imagined, where an image can awaken a memory, suggest a story, or take on a meaning of its own.

Through my work, I invite viewers to reconnect with their curiosity, embrace the unexpected, and rediscover the freedom to imagine without limits.
